    Not this season....:((

Tuesday, September 25, 2007, 07:20 AM EST [General]

I am not doing so hot this season.  I ended up picking up another league, outside of the three that I am already on.  What can I say, I love bowling, and I figure, practice is great. LOL.  Only one problem.  I cannot figure out what is goin on with my ball. When I got my new ball, they drilled a pinky hole on my ball, to keep me from coming over the top.  So now my issue is that.  I had no issues with it, until here recently.  My pinky is so sore, and looks like there is a blister of some sort being created, which makes it hard to bowl.  So I started bowling without my pinky again.  Now I don't have so much control.  Irritates me. Grrr!! Now my ball is tearing up my other fingers, which I suppose is my fault, because for some reason I feel like I need to grip my ball harder.  Bowling is such a technical game, and I may over think things sometimes.  I carry a 140-150 average, and am barely breaking 100:((  A lot of people say I have perfect form, and perfect approach, but after I swing my arm back, once I get it back to my hip, my hand turns and of course comes back over the top of my ball.  The problem is, I cannot correct it, if I don't feel it.  I even do the hand shake technique, and still can't tell that I am doing anything wrong.  I don't get it!!!

    Getting better.....

Sunday, September 9, 2007, 11:39 AM EST [General]

So I have started my leagues...and i must say things are definately getting better....i am keeping my knees bent now..also staying down on my release...im getting a better spin on my ball...which means i am getting better at keeping my hand behind my ball....all in all....better....still needs work...i keep hearing that i am not getting enough revs on my ball...which is why it wont snap in the end....it goes back into that sideways spin...lol...as soon as it hits the dry spot on the lane...how do you put more revs on a ball?

Tuesday, August 21, 2007, 01:06 PM EST [General]

Well it's that time of year again.  Fall leagues are starting back up.  I have one shift at 9am on Wednesdays, one shift at 3pm on sundays with another to follow at 7pm sundays...im excited...I have been practicing a lot..trying to get back into shape..still got a few kinks to work out...but with fall leagues being 33 weeks long...i have plenty of time to get it in gear before the end of the season.  Wish me luck..and good luck to those of you on your upcoming leagues.

    Bowling.....so frustrating!!!

Tuesday, August 14, 2007, 05:40 PM EST [General]

So okay I have been bowling for about 2 1/2 years now.  Started out with a 110 average.  Now I carry a 140 average.  Well I try to.  I finally recieved my first 200 game on leagues last fall.  It was ironically the last week of the league.  Then 2 weeks later, I started my spring league, and recieved another 200 game, and also got my first 500 series.  I was so stoked!!!  Now I am having an issue.  I was using the Brunswick Power Groove Reactive ball.  Which is basically one step up from a house ball.  Yes I started with a straight ball.  I found out later that I throw a natural hook.  So I bought the Brunswick Radical Inferno.  It has a natural hook to it, but not to much that it will throw me all off.  So here is my problem.  I cannot stop throwing it like I threw my old ball.  What I mean by that, is as soon as my arm goes back, I am already turning my hand sideways, so the ball is closer to my waist, so when I bring it back forward, and begin to put the hook on the ball, my hand is on top of my ball.  So I am not getting the correct spin.  I am getting so frustrated!!!  I am never going to get my average to move up.
